Land Transportatione


There are two main bus stations in Guadalajara. One is known as the “New Central” and the other one is known as the “Old Central”.

Buses traveling more than 100 kilometers within city limits, depart from the Old Central, all the other bus lines traveling nationwide depart from the New Central.

The New Central is located on the road going towards Zapotlanejo in Tlaquepaque Jalisco. The old central is located on Dr. Robert Michel Ave. on the corner of 5 de Febrero .

Guadalajara´s International Airport is located 25 kilometers from the city of Guadalajara, Jalisco and 17.5km from the Guadalajara- Chapala highway in the Municipality of Tlajomulco de Zúñiga, Jalisco, Mexico.

Puerto Vallarta’s International Airport is located 7.5 kilometers (4.7 miles) from the city of Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco and 10 km (6.2 miles) from Nuevo Vallarta in the state of Nayarit on Banderas Bay.

Bus Routes in the City of Guadalajara

Minibus and collective transport rates:
Normal rate: $5.00
Half rate: $2.50*
*Half-rate is charged to children between the ages of 5 and 12; middle school, high school and university students with a valid student ID; disabled and senior citizens presenting a voucher (“transvale”). Children under 5 years old need not pay.

Special Characteristic Transport Rate:
Normal rate: $9.00.
In buses with special characteristics, "transvale" vouchers cannot be used.* The TUR line works with transfer tokens (called "transbordos") and the Platino, Cardenal and Turquesa bus lines use ticket sheets called “planillas".

Urban Electric Train Rates:

Half Rate:$2.50*
